STB 2.0 development started

As fun as the development is with Symbian C++ we started quickdraw by modifying the STB 1.0. As a result you may now download Symbian Tower Battles landscape edition by clicking the icon below (tested with Nokia E71). We would appreciate if you would login in to the forum and give some feedback, ideas or report of possibly existing bugs. Anyway have a nice time the game!

Oh yes, the STB 2.0 will have support for both the landscape and the portrait mode as a single installation bundle.

ps. We're also about to put the Qt 4.4.4 temple in to test and release STB 1.0 Qt edition for Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic touchscreen!

New year with new tricks!

Hey, it's been a while since we were coding Symbian Tower Battles (April 2008). Nevertheles it's time to give a boost for the Symbian Tower Battles as the year has changed. Today we've decided to continue the development of the game and as a salute for that the STB 1.0 full version is now available for downloading (click the icons below).

Portrait edition:

New STB (not yet available) will most likely have multiplayer mode over bluetooth, improved performance, better graphics and of course usability will be improved quite a lot!

Meanwhile, have a nice time with the full version of Symbian Tower Defence,

Symbian Tower Battles aka STB is Symbian S60 3rd edition FP1 mobile game and this site presents and demonstrates the game.

Greetings from the game developers:

"You're very welcome to freely explore and study our school project as which we've developed a Symbian S60 mobile game. The project has been quite a challenge for us as we had no prior expirience in Symbian C++ with which the game has been coded. In the end of May we had used over tree hundred work hours for this project and by this date the amount of work hours is approximately five hundered."

"But hey, we did it! We succeeded in our project quite well although many of our ideas didn't get to the game as we have already posted the game to some competition like Forum Nokia's Mobile Innovation Competition 2008 for University Students and Octopus mobile software competition."

"Later this year we're about to release some useful tips and guides that would have helped us during this project. While waiting for more of those tips and guides, please check out the Carbide help section in this site."

Yours sincerely,

Henri Haapakanni, Markus Jylhä & Jyri Leppänen
